How I Lost Love

Our ways were littered with bitter arguments;
Most of them were one-way.
No. All of them came from my way.
So when the hate mail of blames was dispatched
To her door, it was refused delivery.

I had packed two dozen syllogisms of hate;
Years’ worth of love turned into souring sentences;
An invoice of our conversations at cross-purposes;
When the parcel swelled with overwhelming questions,
I sent it along her way, not knowing it was my way.
